Delicious gooseberry stew! It was made with plump berries, sweetened to perfection, and I could taste all the spices! After I eat all the gooseberries I intend to have the left over juice with vanilla ice cream!

When it comes to local fruit stews I am a big critique. I ordered the gooseberry stew from Savor STX & OMG! It is exactly how I like my as I call it, “stew cherry”. The gooseberries are plump & juicy but most importantly, cooked Al Dente, allowing you to enjoy the berries itself without overcooking them. I made banana pancakes this morning & used some of the syrup w/butter, everyone loved it! #isupportlocal #youshouldsupportlocaltoo

The gooseberry (cherry) stew was soooooooooo good! It was nice, smooth, and tasty. My two year old daughter enjoyed it as well. She even wanted to eat the seeds. I couldn’t put the spoon down. We finished it all in one seating. Do not eat in the presence of others to avoid sharing.

OMG!!! This has to be my favorite item from Savor St. Croix! I just can’t get enough “cherry stew.” It reminds me of my grandmother’s cherry stew she made when i was a child. Such a savory treat! #YUMMMMM
